Happy New Year, Al and Barb!

Stewart directed me to your blog. My first visit, but not last. Wishing you health and happiness.

2009 will be the year that techies can't be put off for too long because business must go on. I suspect a slow start that will go out with a bang! Can you believe a decade in the millennium will be completed this year?! Do you remember all the techy scares starting of this decade. Maybe the recession scares will prove to just as anticlimatic.

Bonnie and Stew too:)

FYI, I think IE7 is a worthwhile upgrade. The killer may be IE8 which I understand is going to break a lot of web sites in it's attempt to be more standards compliant. For years web designers have been writing code to support IE quirks. By defaulting v.8 to be more standard friendly, I've read that many sites will need to be fixed to work with v8.

Regarding the IE6 issue around the home page, in IE7 Microsoft had to add in support for different default search engines. Perhaps what you saw in IE6 was what everyone complained about that led to the routines that allow you to change your default search engine/provider in v.7.
